Bokarina Park | Beautiful beach-side playground

If you need a supersized, highly entertaining, fun park with a lot of variety then look no further. This park is a beauty and caters for the little one’s and older children and has an abundance of play equipment. It has never felt crowded when we have been there, and it shouldn’t, there is ample space and equipment to play on.

This gem of a park is located just 50 meters from Bokarina Beach! We often play here and then head to the beach for a dip to cool off.

The surrounding streets of the park are Bokarina Boulevard, Bombora Drive and Singlefin Crescent; Bokarina. There is ample parking on all of those streets as well as parking adjacent to the beach on Longboard Parade.

What facilities does Bokarina Park have?

Jeez, where do I start? It would probably be better if I mentioned what it didn’t have if I’m honest as put simple it is a supersized playground!

• Swings – baby, older child/adult swing & nest swing
• Wide slide
• Wide see saw – able to fit multiple children side by side
• Tunnels
• Turtles – for climbing/jumping
• Rock climbing wall
• Massive playground that has 3 entry points – 1st entry point in the rock climbing wall, there is a vertical climbing tunnel that you access underneath the playground, and a net tunnel that you climb through
• Big slide
• Pump track – Great for kids who enjoying bike riding, scootering or skate boarding. Plenty of little hills/humps to practice riding on.
• Digger to move sand around
• Water pump
• Shade covers
• Massive undercover area with multiple BBQ’s and tables

Now that I have mentioned all it has, I want to mention a few things that I noticed and it might be handy to know. Bokarina Playground is big, so if you have multiple kids it might be worthwhile that you have more then 1 adult if you have kids that are prone to running off.

Also there are no toilet facilities that I could see so if you are coming from another area be mindful to go to the toilet before you arrive.

There is a good amount of seating undercover in the park however its not super close to the playground. The seating closer to the park is very exposed so Slip, Slop, Slap; bring some shade if you need.

Best playground in Bokarina

This is an awesome playground for young and older children as well as adults. This is for kids who enjoy climbing or the ones who prefer two feet on the ground. Ride a bike, a scooter, or explore the sand. Use the big slide or the smaller one! Jump, dig, balance or explore!

And don’t forget to go for a swim afterwards to cool down!
