Nambour Aquatic Centre has recently had a revamp with the launch of their new Splash Pad
“The splash pad features 385 square metres of waterplay with two toddler slides, 20 water jet features and tipping buckets. As well as providing hours of family fun, the splash pad will encourage children’s physical and sensory development through interaction with water play elements.” – Sunshine Coast Council
We were able to go the week after it opened and well it lived up to our expectations. The kids and I had so much fun, we swapped between the indoor pool and the new splash pad. They were pooped when we got home – money well spent I reckon.
The splash pad has enough variety for babies as well as older kids. My 4 year old loved the slides and tipping buckets however my 2 year old did not like the tipping buckets at all so we timed the climb to the slides carefully.
You will get wet if you have younger kids who are more dependent on you so bring your togs (swimmers) and cool off at Nambour’s new splash pad.
