The Best Indoor Playcentre’s on the Sunshine Coast

I love indoor Playcentres – they are loads of fun, a great way to meet new people and the kids are usually buggered enough that they have a nap in the car on the way home or are pretty quiet and need a bit of rest afterward. They are fantastic for kids’ motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and developing independence and problem solving skills. And the Sunshine Coast has some of the best, here are the 4 Best Indoor Playcentre’s in the Sunshine Coast.

Kids World Adventure Playland – Sippy Downs

Chipmunks caters to children from 0-to 11 years and has multiple zones for different age groups. This dedicated indoor Playcentre has both hard and soft play and has 3 different sections catering to different ages. There is the baby zone (0-to 2 years), toddler zone (0-to 5 years), and the main zone (from 5-to 11 years).

The main zone is multi-leveled, so organize to meet some friends, send in the kids, sit back with a cuppa from the cafe, and enjoy. Another drawcard for Chipmunks is the huge inflatable slide. This slide is no joke, the kids pick up some speed which is why they were obsessed with it – it kept them entertained for hours.

Rush Adventureland -Maroochydore

This Indoor Playcentre has a huge variety of equipment to play with, your kids will be entertained for hours. Featuring zones for toddlers & bigger kids there is a section for everyone.

Some of the standouts for Rush Adventureland are the Indoor Flying Fox (Rush Coaster), Hyper Bumper Cars & the Virtual Reality Simulator. These things do cost extra but oh so worth it! There is a ninja course, climbing arena, high ropes & a sensory room.

And for the littlies, there is the toddler zone with a ball-pit, obstacles, slides, and climbing frames.

Cheeky Little Monkeys – Kawana

Edited: Cheeky little monkeys closed its doors on 26th April 2022. We will keep you posted if they find a new location.

This indoor Playcentre is located at the Aldi end of Kawana Shoppingworld in Buddina. They cater for ages 6 months- to 5 years and they have a spacious play zone from a baby crawl zone to more challenging obstacles like balance beams, ball pits, slides, and, blocks. There is unlimited play so you can go in and out all day if you want. They also provide a service called “Drop & Shop” where you can leave your kid/s for a minimum 1 hour and a maximum of 2 hours so that you can shop uninterrupted. Another perk is they have “Soft play hire” so if you are having a party at home you can hire some equipment for a few hours to keep the kids entertained.

The Big Boing – Birtinya

With over 50 inter-connected trampolines, a toddler playground, basketball hoops, and foam pits you sure will get loads of exercise in at The Big Boing. There is a little something for all the kids and for adults. Mr. 4 especially loved jumping along the trampoline and trying to get the basketball in the hoops, and both my kids loved sprinting the length of the long trampolines. If you have children who are keen flippers then this is the place to be.
